Jennifer Burns is a deputy director in the Division of Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. She is responsible for oversight of the Federal Reserve’s supervisory programs and supervisory stress testing, specialty supervision and risk identification activities.

Burns began her career as an assistant examiner in the Bank Supervision and Regulation department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.  In 2010, Burns took the helm as senior vice president for the Supervision, Regulation and Credit division and was promoted to executive vice president in 2015. In Sept. 2017, Burns moved to the Board of Governors as deputy director with responsibility for overseeing the Federal Reserve’s supervisory program for systemically important financial institutions and supervisory stress testing activities. She assumed her current responsibilities in March 2019.

Burns holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
