FDIC offers voluntary retirement to reshape workforce

The FDIC said it will offer voluntary retirement and early separation opportunities to approximately 20 percent of its employees to address the agency's workforce challenges.

The agency said 42 percent of its workforce is eligible for retirement within five years, which could deplete its institutional experience. Under the program, which the FDIC said is not designed to reduce its budget or workforce size, employees will be eligible to receive six months of salary
