FAQs

  • A computer/device (mobile or tablet) that can access the Internet

  • An ICBA Account (username and password)

  • An active subscription to an Online Course Plan, Bundle, Certificate or Individual Course

ICBA understands that IT security is of the utmost importance and that banks may need to restrict users from accessing various websites. As our courses are launched and tracked online, it is important that the following recommendations be reviewed and implemented in order to ensure a positive end user experience.

Many course titles are available for mobile delivery via a browser. If you are planning for learners to access courses via a browser on a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone, be sure to consider factors such as device screen size, device versions, operating system, mobile browser, etc., which will impact the learner's experience. It is highly recommended that you thoroughly test all courses using these devices to ensure compatibility and optimize the learner experience.

For users on company networks, in order to ensure you can access and complete the online training, please whitelist and disable any content caching from: *.icbalearning.org, *.icba.org, *.vubiz.com and *.api.video

* Many organizations have group policies and other security settings for Internet Explorer that may hamper the ability for the courseware to load. While we may assist in identifying issues, we are unable to customize the courseware to work around internal IT policies. Also, if you're using Internet Explorer you must also do the following:

  • Make sure "Enable Protected Mode" is unchecked for Trusted Sites only
  • Disable Compatibility View for *.icbalearning.org, *.vubiz.com and *.vubizlearning.com (or any custom URL your site is running with)

If you do not have a user name and password, please go to www.icba.org and click on Member Login in the upper right corner and then click on “Create an account”.

If you are purchasing an individual course the access is granted to the person who has logged into to the ICBA website to purchase. If you want another individual to access the course, they will need to create an account on the ICBA website and purchase it themselves.

After logging into the ICBA Member Login page, click on the Education tab and then click on Online Courses. In the upper header of Online Courses click on the Log In & Start Training button. You will leave the ICBA website and go to the Online Course Learning Management System.

Yes they create HUGE problems. These blockers prevent pop-up windows from opening which we require for our courses and assessments. You must disable ALL pop-up blockers - i.e. ensure your browser allows pop-ups.

Where do pop-up blockers come from? Very often, they are part of customized toolbars that Web companies such as Google, Yahoo! and AOL allow you to download and install in your browser. You may not even be aware that you have a pop-up blocker running on one of these toolbars.

The pop-up blocker may appear as a button on the toolbar that can be turned on and off by clicking on the button. If the button allows you to "Allow all pop-ups from vubiz.com", then do so. If a button does not appear on the toolbar, you may be able to disable it by opening your browser, click on View, Toolbars; click on Web Features; click on the name of the toolbar you wish to disable.

You may have more than one source of pop-up blockers. The Web browser Internet Explorer itself and most security and/or virus software programs also contain pop-up blockers and they must all be turned off. Ensure that you have turned off ALL pop-up blockers then run the Browser Test again to see if any are still causing problems. How are pop-up blockers turned off? This will vary according to the source of the pop-up blocker.

You can turn off the pop-up blocker embedded in your browser (Internet Explorer, in this example) under the Tools menu.

If you forgot your password, go to the home page of www.icba.org and click Member Login in the upper right corner and then click "Forgot Password". Enter your email address and click on “submit”. Instructions to reset your password will be emailed to you. If you need assistance please contact [email protected] or call (800) 422-7285 and ask for the ICBA Education department.

CPE credits are available for those that have an ICBA Certification. See the Course Catalog for the number of CPE credits available for each course. Online courses are not currently available for CPE credit for outside certifications.

The majority of the ICBA Education online courses allow you to retake the test as many times as you need to until you pass. You will want to check with your bank to determine if they have a specific policy on how many times you can retake the test.

There are some instances where a course may not close properly after completing and passing the test. If this happens, the course should close correctly in the overnight process. Please check the next day to ensure the course appears as completed.

If, after checking the following day, the course is still not completed, please contact a ICBA Education team member at (800) 422-7285 or [email protected] . Please provide your name, e-mail address, course name, passing score, date of completion, and any other details you can provide regarding your experience with completing the course.

Each course or program contains a test that must be successfully completed in order to be deemed complete. Typically the requirement is that a score of 80% or higher is achieved. After successfully completing the course and passing the test you will be able to print a certificate of completion. This can also be found on your Completed Courses tab.

Your bank’s learning management system administrator also has the ability to run reports to track the progress of employees. These reports can be used to show examiners what training courses have been completed.

As long as your bank has an active online training subscription to an ICBA Education Online Course Plan, Bundle, or Bank-Wide Certificate Program, you will be able to access your data from the Completed Courses tab on the online education center.

You can find additional courses to take under the Course Catalog tab. Select a category, choose a course and press enroll to add the course to your Current Enrollments tab. Navigate back to the Current Enrollments tab to launch the course.

You may have difficulties seeing or printing the certificate if you have a pop-up blocker enabled on your computer. Please ensure you have all pop-up blockers disabled, or contact your bank’s IT for assistance.

If you have disabled your pop-up blockers and are still having problems please contact [email protected] detailing the issue. Remember to include the site you’re taking the course through and the name of the course/examination.

No refunds will be processed unless there is a technical issue that we cannot resolve that prevents a Learner from effectively studying the course. Refund requests must be received within 30 days of the date of purchase.

For additional information or assistance, contact ICBA Education at (800) 422-7285 or [email protected].

Certificate programs are delivered online and are an ideal way to enhance professional skills, gain practical training, explore banking career growth, and affirm expertise. This program provides a certificate of completion, but is not a Certification program and requires no additional training after completion.

Certification Programs are delivered through live classroom style programs and have ongoing continuing education requirements. All of our Certification programs have Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements and therefore qualify as Certification Programs.
