New agency fact sheet details quantum computer threat

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and other agencies issued a fact sheet on the capabilities of quantum computers, which pose new security threats to existing information systems.

Details: The fact sheet encourages organizations to begin planning for migration to post-quantum cryptographic standards, which the National Institute of Standards and Technology is preparing to release next year to protect against quantum computer capabilities.
