Agencies sunsetting cybersecurity tool in August

ICBA is reminding community bankers that federal regulators’ Cybersecurity Assessment Tool is scheduled to sunset on Aug. 31.

Background: The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council announced the sunsetting of the CAT last year.

Other Resources: The council of regulators said new government and industry resources are available that financial institutions can leverage to better manage cybersecurity risks, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Performance Goals, and CISA’s pending Cybersecurity Performance Goals for the Financial Sector.
