The American College and ICBA Veterans Scholarship

The American College of Financial Services and ICBA is proud to offer this "20 in 2020" scholarship opportunity to the men and women who served honorably in the armed forces, as well as their spouses, who went on to have a successful second career in community banking. 

Twenty recipients from the first 200 applicants will be selected for this program and those individuals will be awarded full scholarships to complete The American College Wealth Management Certified Professional designation.

Applications will be collected between now and August 31, 2020.

Awards

About the Award

  • 20 scholarships are available for community bankers and/or their spouses who are either active duty military or honorably discharged veterans.
  • Scholarship recipients will be awarded full scholarships to complete The American College Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP) designation – an online professional designation. For more information visit the WMCP® website.
  • Scholarships will be awarded by September 1, 2020 and winners will be notified by The American College and ICBA.
  • Scholarship winners will be asked to enroll in September 2020. Average time to complete the online curriculum is one year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be either a veteran who has received an honorable discharge or a spouse of a qualified candidate or surviving spouse, AND
  • Must be currently working for an ICBA member community bank
  • Applications must be submitted on The American College website between now and July 31, 2020.

  • A limit of 200 applications will be accepted and all applications submitted will be reviewed and evaluated by a committee from The American College and ICBA.
