More than half of community bank executives say their biggest challenge in 2025 is growing deposits, according to the latest Independent Banker magazine.
Details: According to Independent Banker’s latest Community Bank CEO Survey, 54% of community bank executives cited growing deposits as their biggest challenge this year, while 17% said making more loans is their top priority. The shift reflects the temporary impact of pandemic-era assistance, higher interest rates, and more competition for deposits.

Access: The magazine is available on the Independent Banker website and via the digital edition.
