FDIC committee on misconduct announces firm conducting review

The FDIC’s special committee to oversee a third-party review of the agency’s workplace culture and misconduct said it appointed the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP to conduct the independent review.

Details: The special committee said Cleary Gottlieb has conducted numerous investigations into workplace misconduct and hostile work culture. The Cleary Gottlieb team will be led by Joon H. Kim—the former acting U.S attorney for the Southern District of New York—as well as Jennifer Kennedy Park and Abena Mainoo, who have worked on discrimination and harassment cases.

Background: The FDIC board of directors last month unanimously approved the special committee following reports of misconduct.
