GREENVILLE, N.C. - May 15, 2017. Select Bank & Trust named D. Paul Powers Jr. senior vice president and market executive for the bank’s Pitt and Beaufort County markets, announced Eric S. Clark, senior vice president and regional executive.
Powers will oversee business development and lending for one of Select’s leading markets and will work to grow the bank’s loan portfolio in Pitt and Beaufort counties. Powers has over 24 years of banking experience, all in the Greenville market. His office will be located in Greenville at the branch on Charles Boulevard.
“With Paul’s extensive banking experience in the Greenville market, along with his strong leadership skills and his track record as an award winning commercial banker, as well as more than two decades of service in the area, he is a great fit for Select Bank as we work to expand our markets,” Clark said. “We are pleased to have him join the team and know he will be an asset to our bank and our customers. He will play an integral role in our continued growth and success.”
Powers most recently served as a mortgage banker, but has experience as a commercial banking manager, regional bank president, business banking manager and more.
Powers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

In the community, Powers is active with the Ronald McDonald House and the University City Kiwanis Club. He and his wife Angie have twin daughters and attend Covenant Church.
