July 2021 - Online Training Newsletter

July 19, 2021

Introduction

Attention Standard Plan, Custom Plan, and Bank Compliance Bundle Subscribers! Did you know that it’s time to renew your ICBA Community Banker University Online Training Subscription?

One of your bank’s LMS Administrators should have received an email on July 22 with exciting details on what is coming in the next year and a link to pay your renewal invoice. Renewal invoices must be paid by September 30, 2021 for your employees to seamlessly continue with their courses.

The email can be forwarded directly to your accounts payable department for payment. If you cannot locate the individual that received the email you or your accounts payable department can log into their ICBA.org account to access and pay the invoice. Follow these steps to access the invoice:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click on My Account in the upper right corner.
  3. Click on My Invoices in the My Account links box.
  4. Click on the invoice to pay. This will move the invoice to your cart.
  5. Click on the cart in the upper right corner and complete the checkout process.

If you have questions pertaining to your subscription or the invoice process, please contact Cathy Von Wahlde at 320-352-7337.

Subsequent emails for unpaid invoices will be sent in August and September to your Accounts Payable contact (if email on file with ICBA) or the LMS administrator who received the initial invoice on July 22.

What’s New?

The following NEW courses were added to the full course catalog on July 1, 2021:

  • Principles of Banking Overview
  • IT Security: Ransomware
  • IT Security: Credential Stuffing
  • Synthetic Identity Fraud
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Planning for Success
  • Supporting Gender Identity and Expression

Premium Plan Subscribers: The new courses are not automatically placed into your catalog of courses. You can modify catalog names, add or remove catalogs, and fully control which courses are displayed within each catalog. Many of the Premium Plan clients have customized the catalogs based on their needs.

Because of this ability to customize, when new courses are added to the LMS, they are not automatically added into a catalog. This function is left to the LMS administrator to place the course in the specific catalog based on their bank's needs.

To help with this process, we have included instructions on adding a course into a catalog of your choice. If you have any questions, reach out to Vubiz for technical assistance.

What’s Coming?

There will be no new courses added to the course catalog in August and September. In the meantime, we are preparing for the new Standard Plan, Custom Plan, and Bank Compliance Bundle subscription year.

We are working on updating all seven of the audit courses, the four Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) courses in addition to adding a fifth overview course and converting any courses that are still in the old “page 1, next, page 2, next” format into the new look and functionality.

Did You Know?

Did you know that Microsoft has announced that apps and services will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 after August 17, 2021? After this date, Microsoft 365 apps and services will be unable to connect, or have a degraded feature experience, when accessed on IE11.

What does this mean for the Online Training Center? We strongly suggest you switch your browser to Chrome or Edge when using the Online Training Center. We will be adding a check within the Technical Assistance tab in relation to Internet Explorer (IE) that will remind you to switch browsers if you are using IE.

Remember, when logging into the Online Training users should check the Technical Assistance tab each and every time before launching a course as browsers make updates to their security and functionality frequently.
