March 2018 - Online Training Newsletter

Thanks for making ICBA Community Banking LIVE 2018 a success!

Thank you to all of those who stopped by the ICBA Community Banker University booth to drop off your “pink card” and chat with us. During our time at the Expo hall, we were able to show what our Online Training system looks like and demonstrate the ease of use to those whom have not yet seen it by utilizing giant touch screens.

We were also able to show some bankers whom already subscribe to our Standard Plan and those using other Learning Management Systems the benefits of upgrading or switching to our Premium Plan.

If you missed us at ICBA LIVE and would like to learn more about upgrading to the Custom, Premium, or Cloud Delivery plans, please contact Cathy or Mandy by email or call 800-422-7285.

ICBA LIVE was a huge success and we look forward to next year. We hope to see you in Nashville, March 18-22, 2019.

New Courses

On March 22, the new Regulation CC: Funds Availability Act - Overview course was launched. This course provides an overview of what is needed to know concerning Regulation CC for frontline staff and deposit personnel. If your bank chooses to train its lenders, management, and directors on regulation CC, this course would be a perfect fit for them as well.

For those that need more detailed training such as operations staff and compliance personnel, we still have the existing Regulation CC course, but have added “In-Depth” to the title. Please note, the in-depth course will be updated within the next few weeks regarding the upcoming rule changes effective July 1.

Updated Courses

Three courses were updated due changes in the Mortgage Servicing Rules effective April 1:

  • Regulation Z: Closed-End Credit
  • Regulation Z: Purpose, Coverage and Advertising
  • Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act

What’s Next?

Development is underway for the following revisions and new online coursework:

  • Regulation CC: Expedited Funds Availability – changes for July 1 effective date
  • Bank Secrecy Act Courses by Job Function

Did You Know?

As an LMS Administrator, you may not know that your employees can reset their own passwords to the online training system. They do not need to ask you to have it reset, nor do you have to e-mail or call Community Banker University to have it reset. A user’s password is generated from their account on the ICBA website. If a user has forgotten their password, you may send them the following instructions to reset it on their own:

  1. Go to www.icba.org
  2. Click on Member Login in the upper right
  3. Click on the Forgot your password? link in the center of the screen
  4. Enter your e-mail address and click Submit
  5. An email will be sent to you with instructions on resetting your password
