11:00 am Eastern | 10:00 am Central | 9:00 am Mountain | 8:00 am Pacific

ICBA has brought together a panel of industry experts from the Federal Reserve and the Bank for International Settlements to define CBDC and provide sought after answers. This live session is free and exclusive to ICBA members. A recording of the webinar will be available to purchase following the event.

The Federal Reserve has indicated that they are exploring if there is a need to develop a central bank digital currency (CBDC) to address the risks posed by the unregulated crypto market and meet other objectives, including enhancing financial inclusion. In this level-setting session, industry experts will provide answers to questions such as:

  • Why are central banks around the globe looking into CBDCs?

  • What does it mean for the U.S.?

  • What are the design considerations for a CBDC, and how might it impact community banks?

Time will be allotted for Q&A.
