Ryan Billingsley currently serves as the Acting Director of the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
In this role, Ryan leads the FDIC’s risk management examination function and related policy areas. He assumed these duties in March 2025. Prior to serving in this role, Ryan served as Deputy Director, Capital Markets and Accounting Policy where he provided leadership in the area of capital markets and accounting regulation, risk surveillance, and examination support.
Ryan has over 24 years of financial services experience in both the public and private sectors. He began his FDIC career in 2009 and has since served in several leadership positions in the Washington Office. Prior to joining the FDIC, Ryan worked in the private sector serving a number of roles in the banking and financial services industry.
A native of Virginia, Ryan is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He is a CFA charterholder and attended the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
