Online Course Newsletter - August 2026

August 20, 2026 / By ICBA

Introduction

In the past, administrators, excluding Premium Plan subscribers, may have used the “Administrator Best Practices Video” to learn how to manage employees in the ICBA system and perform Learning Management System (LMS) functions. This content has now been divided into two videos: the “LMS Administrator Best Practices Video” and the “ICBA Roster Management Best Practices Video.”

Please review both as a refresher on how to manage your training program successfully. Note: ICBA has made several changes to its Roster Management system and continues to make improvements, so some screenshots in the Roster Management video may look slightly different. However, the differences should not cause confusion.

Did You Know

Did you know that powerful reporting tools are available right at your fingertips to help monitor employee training progress?

One of the most valuable reports available to administrators is the “Activity Report for Courses (excluding BDOT)”. This report allows you to review employee training records and can be run using either a Completion Date or Enrollment Date parameter.

ICBA Best Practice Recommendation:

Run the report using the Enrollment Date option and leave the date range blank. This provides a complete view of assigned courses and helps you identify any courses that remain incomplete before assigning training for your next training period.

  • For deeper analysis, you can export the report to Excel and apply filters to:

    • View completed and incomplete courses

    • Review training progress for individual employees

    • Analyze results by department or employee groups

    • Track completion status for courses assigned to all staff

    • Identify training gaps and follow up as needed

For detailed instructions on accessing and using reports, refer to the Administrator Guide, available under the blue “Administration” tab in the LMS.
