ICBA’s annual convention is the largest gathering of community bankers! The educational opportunities at this national event keep bankers up to date on the latest trends and innovations affecting their bank.

Attendees are community bank decision makers—a majority are in the C-suite—and are responsible for guiding strategic initiatives to ensure their banks performance.

The health and safety of all ICBA LIVE attendees is our top priority. We are taking appropriate safety measures and will follow all federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all attending. Learn more.

They are receptions hosted by various state associations. Attendance is by invitation only.

Currently, ICBA is not requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for any event attendee including exhibitors, spouses, and guests. We ask all attendees to check for any COVID-19 symptoms prior to traveling to the event and consider taking a COVID-19 test to ensure good health during your travels to the event.

All ICBA staff is required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 36 hours of departure to San Antonio.

ICBA is following all local, state, and federal laws and will adjust as needed should the laws change.

If you have a known COVID-19 exposure within 10 days immediately prior to attending ICBA LIVE 2022, we respectfully ask that you not attend the event.

ICBA is following all state and local laws regarding COVID-19 regulations and rules at the time of the event. Additionally, ICBA is taking the following measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Asking anyone experiencing cold- or flu-like symptoms should stay home and get well.

  • Encouraging physical distancing when possible.

  • Conducting routine cleaning to help maintain healthy facilities.

  • Providing different colored lanyards to indicate a person’s distancing preference in group settings.

  • Placing hand sanitization stations throughout the event space, including the exhibit hall.

  • Making plastic gloves and hand sanitizer available at buffet and coffee stations.

  • Adding hotel staff to assist buffet or coffee stations as available.

  • Convention center staff and hotel staff are required to wear a mask.

  • Posting signage highlighting healthy habits in lobby areas throughout the event space.

  • The Henry B. González Convention Center has established specific facility safety measures.

ICBA will communicate these protocols during the on-site registration process and regular moments throughout ICBA LIVE.

At this time, ICBA is following state and local requirements for face coverings. Currently, neither Texas nor the city of San Antonio have a mask mandate. ICBA — along with the Henry B. González Convention Center, Grand Hyatt, and Hilton Palacio del Rio — are encouraging attendees to wear a mask when not able to physically distance. ICBA is posting signage throughout the event space.

Importantly, individuals are free to wear a mask at any time based on their own personal preference.

ICBA is posting signage throughout the meeting space reminding attendees to wear a mask when you are unable to physically distance. There are many reasons to consider wearing a mask including:

  • You are not yet fully vaccinated.

  • You have unvaccinated household members.

  • You are immunocompromised.

  • You have bad allergies.

  • You like the way you look with a mask.

  • Your favorite superhero wears a mask.

  • You feel like it.

ICBA recommends attendees bring their own masks to suit individual comfort preferences. ICBA has a limited supply of surgical-style masks should an attendee need one.

At this time, face masks are required only in certain facilities such as the San Antonio International Airport. ICBA LIVE attendees should look for posted signage outlining when a mask must be worn.

All passengers on public conveyances (i.e., airplanes, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ride-shares) traveling into, within, or out of the city must wear a mask in accordance with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and CDC federal order.

Yes, attendees will select a badge lanyard with a color that shows others how they prefer to engage. ICBA asks all attendees to respect each other’s social distancing preferences throughout the event.

  • Green means “I’m okay with handshakes.”

  • Yellow means “I’m okay with elbow and fist bumps.”

  • Red means “No touching, I’m happy waving ‘hello.’”

The Henry B. González Convention Center is proud to have received recertification for the Global BioRisk Advisory Council STAR Accreditation. This accreditation program assesses cleaning and disinfection practices and infectious-disease prevention. The following special sanitizing measures are in place:

  • All staff and contractors are trained on COVID-19 sanitation procedures. Contractors receive updated information regarding new processes and procedures for consistent operations as necessary.

  • UV Lighting was installed on escalators and continually sanitizes handrails.

  • The frequency of sanitizing was increased on all front and back of house spaces with an emphasis on high touch point areas.

  • Hand sanitizing stations and sanitizing wipes are located throughout the facility.

  • Cleaning products are on the Environmental Protection Agency-approved list for use against COVID-19 and staff must follow product instructions.

  • A UV light robot is used to effectively disinfect areas.

  • Doors may be propped open in some areas to minimize contact.

  • The facilities’ air handler units currently operate at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers recommendation of four to six air exchanges per hour to dilute contaminates. The center meets or exceeds this standard in all areas. Additional measures in place can be found on the convention center’s website.

When you pick up your event badge, staff are reminding all attendees to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 throughout the event. We respectfully remind all ICBA LIVE attendees to:

  • Stay home or in your hotel room if you experience any cold or flu-like symptoms.

  • Wash hands for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer frequently.

  • Be mindful of others and respect social distancing.

  • Engage in responsible health practices such as avoiding touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands, cover your cough and sneezes, wear a properly fitted face mask if in large group settings, and seek professional medical assistance if experiencing symptoms.

Should an emergency occur, attendees should call 9-1-1 immediately.

The city of San Antonio has multiple testing sites close to the Henry B. González Convention Center. Please stay home or in your hotel room if you require a COVID-19 test. ICBA asks you to return to the event only if a negative COVID-19 result is determined.

If you test positive for COVID-19 during ICBA LIVE, ICBA asks you to stay home or in your hotel room.

The City of San Antonio (COSA) Health Department and Human Resources Department performs contact tracing if symptoms of COVID-19 are substantial during an event and does everything possible to notify those who may have been in contact with the individual.

ICBA may be required to share registration records with the COSA Health Department in the event contact tracing becomes necessary.

At any time, ICBA may make additional policy and procedure updates. ICBA will notify all attendees of these updates by sending notifications from the ICBA Events app.

We encourage all attendees to download the ICBA Events app from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.
