President Donald Trump officially nominated Kevin Warsh to serve as Federal Reserve chairman. If confirmed by the Senate, Warsh would replace Jerome Powell in May and serve a four-year term.
Background: Trump in January announced that he was nominating Warsh, who served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011 and as an economic aide in George W. Bush’s administration.
