ICBA and 60 other groups sent a letter to USDA and Office of Management and Budget urging that no cuts be made to crop insurance programs. ICBA and the other groups said:

• The crop insurance program provides predictable, within-budget assistance to farmers in a way that helps lenders continue to support America’s farmers and ranchers.
• Farmers, agribusinesses, lenders, and lawmakers agree that crop insurance is a linchpin of the farm safety net and is crucial to the economic, food, and fiber security of both urban and rural America.
