ICBA and five other banking associations sent a letter to the leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Title I of Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute to H.R. 7890. The associations noted that the amendment does not include clear language for financial institutions to understand their exemption from the requirements of the bill and will lead to duplicative and conflicting requirements for financial institutions already subject to oversight by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
