ICBA submitted comments to the OCC regarding its proposed rule to establish anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance standards for permitted payment stablecoin issuers. ICBA expressed strong support for a federal illicit-finance framework for stablecoin issuers that is no weaker than the framework applicable to community banks.
