With more than 10 years of experience in banking and marketing, Derek brings significant value to his clients, including his unique ability to help teams create strategies, execute efficiently, and leverage powerful marketing plans. He specializes in digital strategy, strategic planning, budget and business planning, and project management.
Derek is vice president of sales and innovation at Mills Marketing and has earlier experience as vice president and branch manager with Lincoln Savings Bank. In addition, at Bank of the West he acted as branch sales manager and has held various titles with other prestigious institutions. Derek earned his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership degree from Grand View University after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance also from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Derek’s passions include golf, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cooking. While from Nevada, Iowa, Derek, and his family currently reside in Ankeny, Iowa.
