The OCC issued a proclamation allowing national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches to close offices in areas of Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., affected by Hurricane Debby.

More: The agency previously announced OCC-regulated banks in Florida and Georgia affected by the storm may close. The OCC said banks should make every effort to reopen as quickly as possible to address the needs of their customers.
