This month we have updated courses that were affected by pandemic regulatory changes and are also excited to announce that only last week, we added some brand-new courses to our online training catalog. We will be introducing more new courses in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for future announcements.
- Fair Lending: This new course replaces the existing Fair Lending Laws course and includes updated content and new functionalities. The existing Fair Lending Laws course is not incorrect; however, we do recommend that you swap courses.
- Custom Plan Subscribers: You will need to upload your bank's policies and procedures as this is categorized as a new and separate course.
- SAFE Act Training for Program Administrators: This is a brand-new course. This course replaces “SAFE Act: Registering Mortgage Loan Originators”. We strongly suggest that if you have employees enrolled in the “retired” version that you remove them from the old course and enroll them in this new course or the new MLO course (see next bullet) depending on their job function.
- SAFE Act Training for MLOs: This is a brand-new course created specifically for Mortgage Loan Originators. This course satisfies SAFE Act annual training requirements.
- Custom Plan Subscribers: When you upload your bank's policies and procedures into one of the SAFE Act training courses, your policies and procedures will automatically appear in both SAFE Act training courses.
- Regulation Z: Overview
- Regulation Z: Closed-end Credit (Real Estate)
- Regulation Z: Open-end Credit (Real Estate)
- Regulation Z: Right of Rescission
- Regulation E: Electronic Funds Transfers Act
- Regulation D: Reserve Requirements
What’s Coming
- Updated Regulation CC courses (In Depth & Overview) launch on June 3, 2020 with the changes to the availability thresholds that take effect on July 1, 2020.
- During the first half of June, we are launching the following new courses (check the “What’s New” tab in the Online Training Center occasionally to see when new courses launch):
- Regulation P: Consumer Privacy (In-depth & Overview)
- Introduction to Consumer Lending
- Business Continuity Management for Banks
- The Internet Explorer web browser is no longer supported by Microsoft. While you can still use Internet Explorer, you will have a much better user experience when you use another browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
- After logging in to the Online Training Center, click on the Technical Assistance tab. If you have any Red X's, you must address them before you can advance further in your course. NOTE: AdobeFlash is no longer required on courses except for the five Microsoft Office courses. Unless you are enrolled in one of these five courses, you can ignore the Red X if it pertains to Flash.
- If you complete a course and pass the test and the course does not move from your Current Enrollments to the Completed Courses tab, log out, wait until the next day, log back in and see if it has moved. If it has not, email Community Banker University and make sure to include your name, the email address you use to log into the system, the course name, the date you completed the course, and your test score (test score is helpful, but not required).
