ICBA and other groups sent a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission in response to its "Asset-Backed Securities Registration and Disclosure Enhancements" Concept Release.  ICBA and the other groups commended the Commission for prioritizing enhancements to asset-backed securities disclosure and issuing a Concept Release on RMBS requirements. ICBA said it also strongly supports revising Regulation AB II to strengthen the public RMBS market, broaden investor participation, protect consumer privacy, and reinforce investor protections, which would expand mortgage access, reduce costs, and complement broader housing finance initiatives.
