The FBI recently issued a Private Industry Notification warning that cyber criminals are taking advantage of the work-from-home environment to exploit web-based email applications.
The advisory, which is available on ICBA's Cyber and Data Security resource center, says cyber criminals are implementing auto-forwarding rules on victims’ web-based email clients to increase the likelihood of a successful business email compromise.
