ICBA kicked off the 2025 ICBA Capital Summit with community bankers from across the country convening in Washington, D.C.
Top Issues: ICBA recently published a list of top advocacy issues for community bankers to discuss during meetings with congressional offices. The lobby card contains succinct information on key community banker concerns, such as the CFPB’s Section 1071 rule, major tax legislation, and more.
Grassroots Push: With community bankers meeting with policymakers in Washington this week, ICBA is also calling on community bankers across the nation to send messages to their lawmakers in support of:
The Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act, which would limit mortgage trigger lead solicitations to mortgage applicants.
The Access to Credit for our Rural Economy (ACRE) Act, which would exempt from taxation interest on loans secured by farmland and residential mortgages in towns under 2,500 population.
Speakers: This year’s Capital Summit will feature remarks from House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R-Ark.), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), and Deputy Treasury Secretary Michael Faulkender.
