To earn the Certified Community Bank Data Analyst (CCBDA) certification, you will be required to attend this program in its entirety, complete all assignments, and achieve a passing score on the certification exam(s).

In today's fast-paced business environment, the ability to analyze large amounts of data in a short amount of time is becoming critical in today’s banking environment. This is especially true in banking, given the large amounts of data at our fingertips to provide decision useful information. Even better, effective data analytics can be done with tools that are most likely already available to you, primarily Microsoft Excel.

As a part of this course, we will start you on your data analytics journey with high level concepts on data analysis and how to begin to formulate your data strategy. We will then build on those basics, moving into more in-depth analysis, including ways to build routines for automated data analysis.

We will work through real life examples, which will include items such as evaluating loan information, general ledger detail, employee expense reimbursements, etc.

The course will focus heavily on using Excel for data analysis, including functions like pivot tables, Power Query, and Power Pivot. No advanced Excel skills are required, as we will start from the basics and build up proficiency throughout the 2.5 days. While not mandatory, having access to the Get & Transform functionality (Power Query and Power Pivot) in Excel will be beneficial for exploring automated capabilities.
