ICBA Bancard Community Bank Small Business Customer Wins Big in National Visa Promotion
Washington, D.C. (May 14, 2007)—ICBA Bancard, the payment services corporation of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), today announced that a community bank small business customer won $100,000 in the national "$100K Holiday from Visa" national promotion.
Mill & Mine Supply Co., a family-owned business in Redmond, Ore. and longtime customer of Columbia River Bank of The Dalles, Ore., was entered automatically upon using the Columbia River Bank Visa Business Credit Card during the sweepstakes' promotional period. Running from November 1, 2006, through December 31, 2006, the "$100K Holiday from Visa" was developed to reward cardholders for using their Visa card during the holidays.
"It's no understatement that we do everything we can to give our small business customers the financial tools they need to support their operations and growth," says Roger Christensen, Columbia River Bank CEO. "We are delighted to give our small business customers opportunities like this Visa Sweepstakes and even more excited that one of them was lucky enough to be selected a grand prize winner. It's great to know community banks like ours have the ability to thank a customer for its business like this."
"This outcome not only benefits the hard-working owners of Mill & Mine Supply Co., it also underscores the value, resources and scope of community bank credit card solutions like those provided by Columbia River Bank," says Linda Echard, ICBA Bancard president and CEO. "In our opinion, when a small business chooses a community bank to serve their financial needs, they are already winners."
The "$100K Holiday from Visa" resulted in ten grand prize winners who were randomly selected from all eligible entries. No purchase or obligation was necessary to enter or win.
