ICBA Offers cbanc Network to Members

Exam Watch Provides Platform for Community Bankers to Share Exam Experiences

Washington, D.C. (July 7, 2011)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced today that it will offer its members access to the cbanc Network, a secure, no-cost online portal that contains a comprehensive repository of bank-authored, board-approved and exam-tested content.  cbanc’s latest feature, Exam Watch, helps community bankers share their experiences with recent regulatory exams using a short, easy-to-complete Q&A format that is both informative and insightful.

cbanc Network provides an ideal platform for banker-to-banker collaboration and information sharing when it is needed most,” Chris Lorence, ICBA executive vice president and chief marketing officer said.  “Real-world-tested materials and insights from community banks are just what our members are looking for right now.  The Exam Watch feature is extremely beneficial for our members as they face the current challenging exam environment and work to incorporate new regulations coming out of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act into their daily business

cbanc Network is an innovative collaboration platform where bankers trade real, practical work, including policies, procedures, agreements and best practices from all areas of a bank, in a virtual marketplace.  The cbanc Network portal is organized into key categories, including content exchange, anonymous postings of recent exam experiences, vendor reviews and questions and answers. Members can trade content using a virtual currency called “cbanc Points.” The more content, experiences and advice that a community banker shares, the more points they earn in return.

cbanc leverages the collective wisdom of community bankers from across the country in all job segments,” Myers Dupuy, president of cbanc Network said.  “Chances are if you need it, someone else has already done it, and with cbanc’s offerings you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.  This saves you time and money.
