ICBA Promotes Aleis Stokes to Vice President, Media and Public Relations
Washington, D.C. (May 20, 2011)-The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) today announced the promotion of Aleis Stokes to vice president, media and public relations. In this new position, Stokes will be responsible for ICBA's media and public relations efforts to communicate ICBA's key policy positions and the positive story of the nation's community banks. Well respected and in the media forefront, community banks reinvest in their communities every day-driving economic stability and prosperity on Main Street while serving the needs of their local customers.

Prior to joining ICBA in December 2008, Stokes worked for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where she was responsible for various media relations and public affairs efforts, including serving as media contact for the HOPE NOW Alliance and managing MBA's annual National Homeownership Month public relations campaign.
Stokes holds a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and public relations from Penn State University.
