ICBA Names North as Senior Vice President, Promotes Heinze to Controller
Washington, D.C. (June 26, 2008)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced the promotions of Dewite North to senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) and Linda Heinze to controller.
North joined ICBA in 1999 to work on payments systems issues and was named CIO in 2003. With his promotion to senior vice president, North becomes a member of the executive management team. Prior to joining ICBA, North held lending, operational and technical positions with two Virginia-area banks, as well as working as a project manager for a software development company.
"Dewite has done an excellent job as ICBA's chief technology officer and his promotion to senior vice president is well-deserved," said Mark Raitor, ICBA executive vice president and chief operating officer. "He has been instrumental in keeping ICBA's infrastructure current with the ever-changing advancements taking place in the information technology field."
Heinze has been a part of ICBA's accounting staff since 1990. In her new role as controller, she will have increased responsibility and a broader role, including managing the accounting staff in ICBA's Sauk Centre office.
"Linda has been a terrific asset in handling accounting duties for ICBA and its subsidiaries. She has displayed an exemplary aptitude for finding practical solutions to complex problems," said Patricia Hopkins, ICBA senior vice president and chief financial officer. "I know she will continue to be an asset to the association in her new capacity."
