ICBA Selects Strohl Systems to Provide Business Continuity Planning Software for Community Banks

Washington, D.C. (Nov. 6, 2007)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced that Strohl Systems, King of Prussia, Pa., has been selected as an ICBA Preferred Service Provider for Business Continuity Planning (BCP) software. Strohl Systems' software is called PLANet®.

"Community banks need a plan in place should a manmade, technological or natural disaster occur," said Dan Clancy, ICBA senior vice president of services. "Through our relationship with Strohl Systems, ICBA member community banks receive the expertise and support needed to easily and cost-effectively create comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans that comply with federal requirements."

PLANet is the only online business continuity and disaster recovery planning tool designed specifically for community banks. The software also complies with Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) regulations. As the financial industry's only web-based planning tool, PLANet essentially walks community bankers and compliance officers through the business continuity process in a step-by-step online environment.

"We needed an easier way to keep our BCP plan up-to-date and PLANet helped us do that," said Duane Swizer, ICBA member and vice president/director of technical operations for First Independent Bank, Vancouver, Wash. "PLANet is not only easy to use but I'm constantly finding new ways the product helps make our plan the most efficient and effective for my organization."
