FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Community Bankers Gather for 2007 ICBA National Convention and Techworld

Gathering One of the Largest and Most Vital in Community Banking

Honolulu (March 4, 2007)—Community bankers and industry leaders gathered for the opening of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) National Convention and Techworld held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu, Hawaii. The conference, one of the largest and most vital community banking industry events of its kind in the nation, runs through March 7.

"The ICBA National Convention and Techworld is a tremendous forum for community bankers and industry leaders to exchange ideas, learn about the latest trends and discover new developments," said Terry J. Jorde, ICBA chairman and president and CEO of CountryBank USA, Cando, N.D.

"This is a great week for community banking," Jorde said. "Each community bank individually is vital to supporting the economic prosperity and strong quality of life in its community back home. The synergy that is created when you bring the talent and banking know-how of community bankers together in one place for a week is extraordinary."

Highlights of the convention include remarks from national newsmakers including Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Sheila Bair, Office of Thrift Supervision Director John Reich and Comptroller of the Currency John Dugan.

Additional featured speakers include Christopher Gardner who will talk about his story of struggle, faith, entrepreneurialism and fatherly devotion told in his remarkable autobiography The Pursuit of Happyness, a New York Times # 1 best seller, and James Carville and Mary Matalin, key players on the national political scene and co-authors of All's Fair: Love, War, and Running for President. Attendees can choose from more than 50 educational seminars on all facets of the community banking industry, as well as a variety of networking events.

One of the premier community banking industry tradeshows, ICBA Techworld features 140 companies whose comprehensive community bank-tailored products and services are reflective of the dynamic innovation and change continually occurring within the community banking industry.
