ICBA Seeks Nominations for 12th Annual National Community Bank Service Awards
Community Banks to be Recognized for Community Service As Part of ICBA’s Go Local Initiative
Washington, D.C. (Oct. 12, 2012)—The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) is seeking nominations for its 12th Annual National Community Bank Service Awards. Every year, ICBA recognizes the outstanding work of community banks across the nation that go above and beyond to improve their local communities.
All community banks with community service or volunteer programs that help to strengthen their local community are eligible to be nominated for the 2013 National Community Bank Service Awards. Entry is free for all community banks, multiple entries are encouraged and you can nominate your own bank.
“The National Community Bank Service Awards were created to celebrate the outstanding volunteer efforts of the nation’s community banks,” said Jeff Gerhart, chairman of ICBA and Bank of Newman Grove, Neb. “I hope all community banks enter and are recognized for ways they positively impact their local communities.”
As part of ICBA’s Go Local initiative, these awards recognize the efforts community banks provide others in their own neighborhoods by using local resources. Community banks thrive when their customers and communities do the same, so looking out for the best interest of their community is instilled in the way they conduct their business each and every day.
Nominations are being accepted now and must be received by Monday, Dec. 3. Award recipients will be recognized in April as part of Community Banking Month and will be acknowledged in ICBA Independent Banker® Magazine as well as at the 2013 ICBA National Convention & Techworld® in Las Vegas, March 11-15.
The Grand National Award recipient will receive roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and convention admission to the ICBA National Convention, courtesy of ICBA.
