ICBA Teams With Local Non-Profit to Help Homeless Las Vegas Youth.
Learn how you can get involved.
High school is tough enough, but for Las Vegas’ more than 2,500 homeless high school students the additional burden of purchasing school supplies or even basic personal necessities can create insurmountable pressure leading them to drop out of school.
Learn More About Project 150
ICBA has teamed with Project 150 in this endeavor. Project 150 is a Las Vegas-based 501c3 non-profit that is dedicated to helping homeless, disadvantaged, and displaced high school students graduate from high school through the provision of gently used clothes, nonperishable food, and school supplies.
During our time in Las Vegas, ICBA is rallying Community Banking LIVE attendees to help these displaced and disadvantaged students by donating the following critically needed items:
• Most needed school supplies: pens, pencils, highlighters, paper, spiral notebooks, notebook dividers, simple and scientific calculators, glue sticks, index cards, protractors, and compass sets.
• 8 gigabytes USB drives
• New socks or underwear
• Full-size toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant
• Unused toiletries from your sleeping room during your stay in Las Vegas
To participate, simply drop off your donation in the ICBA Central Booth during the convention. If you choose you can also make a cash donation to help high school seniors purchase caps and gowns for their graduation ceremonies ($50 secures one cap and gown for a graduating senior).
