The current examination environment is fraught with peril for community banks. The standards for acceptable behavior and for "past" credits seem to change on a daily basis. This presentation will discuss how to prepare for examination in this difficult environment, including what strategies have proven to be most successful. Thereafter, we will discuss the current metrics and focus points for examinations. We also will discuss the interagency policy on loan modifications. Lastly, we will address how to respond to the problem examination.
