Mark A. Raitor is chief operating officer and senior executive vice president of the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA), the only national trade association that exclusively represents community banks.
He is senior executive vice president and serves as corporate secretary to the ICBA Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Federal Delegate Board and Nominating Committee. Raitor provides leadership and direction for all of the association’s departments and operations. He overseas strategic planning and governance procedures for ICBA’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Prior to being named chief operating officer, he served as executive vice president responsible for business operations as the head of ICBA’s Minnesota office. He relocated to the Washington, D.C. headquarters and was named senior executive vice president and served as chief of staff.
He is an active member of several industry groups and presently serves on the Coordination Committee of the World Savings Bank Institute and European Savings Banks Group. He is a member of the Barret School of Banking Board of Regents, the Leading Authorities Advisory Council and is the incoming vice chairman of the Executive Management Council of the American Society of Association of Executives. Before joining ICBA, he worked for Dakota National Bank and an ABC affiliated television station.
Previously, Raitor served on the Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Banker Advisory Board and has held numerous leadership roles outside of ICBA in the association and finance arenas. He served on the American Society of Association Executives Convention Section Council and on a Marriott Hotels National Customer Advisory Forum. He has written articles and contributed to ASAE publications and has been an ASAE convention panelist. He is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead and is an Eagle Scout.
