
Mark Harrell is a lifelong resident of the community and a proud advocate for local leadership and service. He earned his B.S. in Finance and Economics from Towson University and is a graduate of both the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending and the Maryland Bankers Association Advanced School of Executive Management.
With more than 30 years of experience in banking, Mark has guided CNB Bank through significant growth and change while maintaining a focus on personal service, innovation, and community connection. He takes great pride in the strength of the CNB team and their ability to evolve with the industry, saying, “Our people are our greatest strength, and their ability to adapt and evolve has kept CNB Bank strong and growing.” Under his leadership, the bank continues to introduce new products and services, expand its digital presence, and grow into new markets.
Mark’s passion for service extends far beyond the walls of the bank. He currently serves as Vice Chair of Hospice of the Panhandle. He is also a member of the Greater Hagerstown Committee and serves on the boards of the Seely Foundation, Morgan County Economic Development Authority, Hagerstown Community College Foundation, Meritus Medical Center, CNB Bank, CNB Financial Services, and the AGRP Pension. At the national level, he serves on the Consumer Financial Services Committee and Federal Delegate Board for the Independent Community Bankers of America.
Locally, Mark remains active in organizations he has helped lead over the years. He is a past Chair and current member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board, past President of the Community Bankers of West Virginia, past Chair of the Valley Health Foundation Board and past President of the Berkeley Springs Rotary. His prior service includes advisory roles with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and the Hagerstown Rotary.
