Sarah Getzlaff

Sarah Getzlaff is the chair of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) Policy Development Committee.   

CEO of Security First Bank of North Dakota in Bismarck, ND, Getzlaff is a third-generation community banker. Getzlaff serves in many leadership roles at ICBA, including the ICBA board of directors and ICBA’s Federal Delegate Board. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of ICBA Consolidated Holdings (ICBACH) as Treasurer, as well as on the ICBA Payments board of directors. 

Getzlaff has served on the FDIC’s Advisory Committee on Community Banking and also as a Small Entity Representative in the CFPB’s Section 1071 SBREFA panel where she represented the community bank perspective on the burdensome 1071 small business data collection and reporting rule. 

At a local level, Getzlaff is the current Chair of the Independent Community Bankers of North Dakota (ICBND) and Vice Chair of Independent Community Bankers Services (ICBS).  She is also the incoming Chair of the Bismarck State College Foundation and a founding member and Secretary of the Skyhawk Booster Club. 

Getzlaff has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
