Fannie Mae predicted the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate will be 7.5% in 2027.
Upward Trend: In its latest monthly analysis, Fannie Mae forecasts the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rate will reach 7.4% in the fourth quarter of 2026. It previously projected a 6.8% rate for the fourth quarter and 6.7% for 2027.
