The B Corp Certification was a year in the making while Brattleboro Savings & Loan worked to demonstrate its adherence to an 80-point assessment that evaluated how the organization’s operations and business model impact workers, community, environment, and customers. Certification is awarded only to those businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
