Community Bankers Raise $10K With Charitable Giving Platform

The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) recently announced that its partnership with Project 150, raised more than $10,000 in donations at the ICBA Community Banking LIVE® national convention in Las Vegas in March. Project 150 is a non-profit dedicated to helping homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students graduate from high school through the provision of school supplies, nonperishable food, personal toiletries, and financial donations. ICBA leveraged ICBA Bancard’s new charitable giving platform, powered by FIS, to facilitate credit and debit card donations.

“Community bankers are known for their community outreach, so when we were approached about using our Charitable Giving platform to assist with online donations, we were thrilled to lend our support to this worthwhile cause,” ICBA Bancard President and CEO Tina Giorgio said. “That we were able to use a feature within the online portal to create a charitable matching campaign was the cherry on top, and one more way to support community banks and the spirit of giving.”

Launched last winter, ICBA Bancard’s charitable giving platform is a turn-key donation product that helps community banks connect with their cardholders around causes they care about. With more than 1.8 million charities to choose from, the platform allows cardholders to make one-time or recurring gifts, while conveniently managing giving and tax receipts.

Americans last year donated roughly $390 billion to charitable causes, yet only 7 percent of payments were made online, according to the Giving USA Annual Report on Philanthropy. ICBA Bancard’s charitable giving platform, helps move these transactions to the web and can help banks drive organic portfolio growth while raising awareness for qualifying local charities or disaster relief programs.

ICBA Bancard has secured the best pricing in the industry, so that more dollars are donated to your customers’ causes. For a limited time, ICBA Bancard is also offering free implementation (a savings of $3,500) for the first 50 banks that sign up. Contact ICBA Bancard's Client Relations team for pricing.
