Jim Thorpe, PA – The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) student team representing Lehighton High School appeared at the recent Mauch Chunk Trust Company Board of Director’s meeting and made quite an impression. The student team, comprised of seniors Matthew Eckhart, Ryan Moerder, and Mason Smith, qualified for the National FBLA Conference in Anaheim, California. They received a donation in the amount of $2,000 from MCT in support of their team’s goals and offered their thanks and appreciation during their presentation. “We want to prove that 3 seniors from a small school in Carbon County can take on the rest of the United States and come out victorious”, was the message from the young men. “This is in part because of kind people like you who are willing to help us achieve this goal. Thank you Mauch Chunk Trust!” The Lehighton team placed 2nd in the state in the category of Banking & Financial Systems and will be competing at the National Conference between June 29 – July 1. “We wish these outstanding young men and their advisors the very best of luck at the upcoming competition in California”, state Patrick Reilly, President and CEO of Mauch Chunk Trust Company. “They impressed us with their professionalism and confidence and they should know we will be cheering them on!”
