GREENVILLE, N.C. - May 17, 2017. Select Bank & Trust named Van W. Gunter III as commercial lender for the bank’s Fayetteville and Cumberland County market, announced David B. Goodyear, senior vice president and regional executive.
Van will oversee business development and lending for one of Select’s leading markets and will work to grow the bank’s presence in Cumberland County. Van has 20 years of banking experience, across the state, serving Fayetteville since 2011. His office will be located at the Raeford Road branch in Fayetteville.
“With Van’s extensive experience in business development, commercial and real estate lending, his years as a top producing commercial banker, as well as nearly two decades of banking knowledge, he is a great fit for Select Bank,” Goodyear said. “We are pleased to have him join the team and know he’ll be an asset to our bank and customers and will play an integral role in our continued growth.”
Van most recently served as a vice president and principle relationship manager for a large bank, but has experience in special assets as well as commercial real estate and homebuilder finance.
Van is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
