Online fintech directory is next step in the ICBA-community bank innovation journey

Washington, D.C (Jan. 28, 2019)
—The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) today launched the ICBA ThinkTECH Network for its members. The first-of-its-kind online directory powered by Bank Director’s FinXTech Connect is built specifically for the unique needs of community banks. This curated directory allows community bankers to find relevant fintech companies and solutions through comprehensive company profiles that include solutions, reviews, and testimonials.

“The ICBA ThinkTECH Network is a one-stop shop for ICBA members who are looking for vetted community bank-friendly fintech companies,” ICBA Services Network COO Kevin Tweddle said. “As we continue to provide valuable resources and business solutions for our members, the ICBA ThinkTECH Network is the next step in the ICBA-community bank innovation journey. We want to make it as easy as possible for community banks to connect with, and forge new relationships with, the best fintech companies that meet their business needs.”

Companies included in the ICBA ThinkTECH Network have been identified by ICBA and Bank Director as “bank-friendly,” with a proven history of financial performance and an existing roster of bank clients. Solutions include lending platforms, payment processing applications, security, data analytics and more. The platform features:

  • a guided search function to allow banks to easily find solutions,
  • in-depth written profiles on fintech companies working with U.S. banks,
  • access to key technology leaders and contact information,
  • product features, pricing models, and core processor capabilities,
  • a sample client list and testimonials from financial institutions, and
  • a profile-bookmarking feature for added convenience.

“We are excited to roll out this new platform with ICBA as community banks look to discover new ways to partner with technology companies,” Bank Director President Mika Moser said. “It has always been our core focus to educate financial institution senior leaders and board members, and we believe the ICBA ThinkTECH Network powered by FinXTech Connect will allow community banks to grow market share and gain efficiencies through new innovations.”

The ICBA ThinkTECH Network comes after the October 2018 launch of the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator. In partnership with Little Rock, Ark.-based Venture Center, the ICBA ThinkTECH Accelerator exclusively focuses on product development designed for community banks and the customers they serve. Currently in the bootcamp phase, the accelerator has identified and is currently supporting the financial technology ventures of the 10 program finalists, which have shown great potential to fulfill current community banking needs while creating opportunities for the future.
