Feb 10, 2020

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will be on Capitol Hill this week for hearings Tuesday and Wednesday before the House Financial Services and Senate Banking committees, respectively.

In its monetary policy report to Congress ahead of the hearings, the Fed warned of the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

Fed board nominees Judy Shelton and Christopher Waller will appear before the Senate panel on Thursday for a nomination hearing. The House committee also has hearings on diversity and inclusion at the nation's largest banks as well as bias in artificial intelligence.
