CFPB proposes settlement with Think Finance lenders

Feb 06, 2020
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau proposed a settlement with Think Finance and six subsidiaries to settle a lawsuit it filed in 2017 for unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices.

The proposed settlement with the payday lender would require up to $39 million in restitution and prohibit the entities from offering or collecting on loans to consumers in 17 states if the loans violate state lending laws.
