ICBA continues calling on community bankers to use its Be Heard grassroots action center
to advocate increasing the minimum threshold for collecting and reporting Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data.
ICBA's custom message urges the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to raise the threshold even higher than proposed.
Meanwhile, ICBA's Be Heard action center offers custom messages that community bankers can use to:
- urge lawmakers to include language in a defense bill extending the “rent-free” benefits credit unions enjoy to on-base banks, and
- support legislation that would exempt interest on loans secured by agricultural real estate from taxable income.
