Washington, D.C. (Nov. 4, 2019)—Community Banker University®, the education division of the Independent Community Bankers of America®, announced a new digital badging benefit for its certification holders. Offered through the Credly Acclaim platform, this program enhancement gives community bankers a visible and verifiable way to showcase their achievements and position themselves for career advancement within their organization. When considering candidates for a position, community banks can also look for the badge as confirmation that an applicant has demonstrated mastery of a specific discipline or skillset.

“With more learning, networking and hiring taking place digitally, we saw an incredible opportunity to provide community bankers with an online distinction that will help them elevate their careers within this great industry,” said ICBA Group Executive Vice President Lindsay LaNore. “As innovative leaders in community bank education, Community Banker University is always looking for new ways to further differentiate and promote community bankers in the financial services marketplace.”

The tamper-proof badges contain metadata noting the certification holder’s qualifications and credentials, and are suitable for display in email signatures, staff directories, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

Community Banker University offers nine certification programs in the fields of auditing, bank security, BSA/AML, compliance, consumer and commercial lending, credit analysis, information technology and risk management, which are accredited by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

“At Community Spirit Bank, we value our staff members and encourage their continued education, which enhances their ability to serve our customers in ways that only a community bank can,” says President and CEO Brad Bolton, who also chairs ICBA’s Education Committee. “We’re pleased to support employee professional development and to recognize their achievements with this mark of distinction.”
