Seminar: Bank Security Institute

09/07/2014 - 09/10/2014

Minneapolis, MN

This training program is designed specifically for the professional Security Officer, regardless of geographical location, bank size, level of training or experience. The Bank Protection Act and similar regulations require all banks to appoint a Security Officer, who has the authority to develop and administer an up-to-date, effective institution-wide Security Program. The Bank Security Institute is a baseline program that defines the industry-standard roles, duties, authority, and responsibilities of a Bank Security Officer and provides the opportunity to become a Certified Community Bank Security Officer.

  • Security function business, operations, audit and compliance issues
  • Legal, moral and ethical responsibilities of the Security Officer and the bank's Board of Directors
  • Industry-standard security practices regarding people, places and things
  • Physical and process security standards and management of the overall Security Program
  • Loss avoidance techniques for both internal and external events
  • Developing and protecting administration, human resource, audit, retail and security relationships
  • Asset protection and data security
