TOUR 1 • Tuesday, March 12 • 8:30am – 12:30pm
Las Vegas Highlights City Tour
Las Vegas remains a fascinating city with a rich and appealingly dubious history. Central to the mystique of the town is the world famous Las Vegas Strip, home to some of the most extravagant hotel-casinos in existence. Here you’ll find the massive mega resorts like CityCenter, MGM Grand, The Venetian, Paris and Wynn Las Vegas. Remnants of days past remain in the old downtown around Fremont Street. Tour the Las Vegas of today, with all the excitement of the modern extravaganzas on the Strip, as well as exploring the Vegas of yesterday, encompassing the charming vintage neon signs on Fremont Street, and hotels such as Lady Luck Hotel and the Golden Nugget. Enjoy the sites by bus or by foot at certain locations.

Hoover Dam Power Plant Tour
Begin your tour with a historical video presentation of Hoover Dam, and then a knowledgeable guide escorts guests on a 500 ft. elevator descent to discover the power behind this modern marvel: the massive power plant generators housed at the base of the dam. Additional stops include the observation deck, affording panoramic views of the Colorado River, Lake Mead and unobstructed looks at the dam’s mechanical components, as well as stops along the top of the dam, from the Winged Figures of the Republic to the Nevada Intake Tower.

Julie & Julia Inspired French Cooking Class and Wine Tasting at Mon Ami Gabi
The magic of Julia Child’s cooking not only lives on in the hit film “Julie and Julia” but at Paris Las Vegas’ Mon Ami Gabi with an exciting cooking class where you’ll learn how to prepare three recipes from the movie and indulge in a French wine tasting! Have the opportunity to learn from a Mon Ami Gabi Chef how to prepare the French classics of Classic Onion Soup au Gratin, Beef Bourguignon and Chocolate Mousse. Indulge in these specialties while enjoying a French wine tasting. Conclude with take-home recipes from the cooking class and Mon Ami Gabi’s Classique Butter.

Red Rock Spring Mountain Ranch
Just west of Las Vegas lies the beautiful, 66,000 acre Red Rock Canyon, second only to the Hoover Dam as the most visited scenic area in Southern Nevada. This area was once inhabited by Native Americans and is still home to herds of wild horses, burros, big horn sheep, antelope and various desert critters. Listen to the history of the area while you enjoy the picturesque and contrasting scenery all throughout the colorful mountain area as the group drives from one stop to the next on the scenic loop. In the heart of Red Rock stands the over 500 acre Spring Mountain Ranch which was owned at one time by Howard Hughes and was originally built in the 1860’s by pioneer Jim Wilson. Tour the Ranch House and discuss the colorful history of Spring Mountain and this area of Red Rock.

Richard Petty Racing Experience
Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Engines... What better way to let off a little steam than to get behind the wheel of an official Sprint Cup stock car? You will have an opportunity to push it to the limits with speeds of 140 - 170 mph! The Richard Petty Experience originated in 1990 and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s location is the only NASCAR type driving school on the West Coast. Ride Along: Experience real life racing thrills by riding shotgun in a two-seat stock car driven by a professional instructor as you experience a simulated three lap NASCAR qualifying run at speeds exceeding 150 mph.

River Float on the Colorado
Enjoy the natural wonder of the great Southwest with a private rafting trip down the majestic Colorado River. Experience the western lore and serenity of touring the canyons carved out by the forces of nature over millions of years. Start your journey at the bottom of the canyon just below Hoover Dam to board private rafts readied for the river. The Colorado River in the Black Canyon provides dramatic views of the panoramic area without the risk inherent in white water rafting. With professional guides, the float trip proves to be not only scenic, but educational as you learn about the history, geology and culture of the area. Springs Preserve Tour

Wedding Chapel Row
There can be no doubt that Las Vegas is the Wedding Capital of the World and these marriages are recognized in every country. More than 100,000 couples tie the knot in Sin City every year. A drive down the infamous Wedding Chapel Row, where celebrities and couples alike tie the knot in fabulous Vegas style, will definitely be a highlight of guests’ trip. Who knows, there may even be someone on the tour who was married at one of these Las Vegas legends!

Fashion Show Mall
The two million sq. ft. Fashion Show Mall features more boutique shops and chain stores one could ever hope for. The last stop on your tour will drop you off at Fashion Show Mall where you will be able to enjoy lunch with many eateries to choose from. Once you have shopped until you have dropped, make your way back to the Wynn/Encore at your leisure, which is just across the street.

CSI: The Experience
Do you have what it takes? Are you that person that yells at the television, solving the crime before the characters do? Are you secretly wishing you could quit your job and join the FBI? If we’ve described your personality and secret passion then this activity is for you! CSI: The Experience, based on the hit TV show, has recently come to the MGM Grand Hotel and allows you to have a hands-on role of a crime scene investigator in two state-of-the-art forensic crime labs with awesome special effects. You will get involved in this interactive challenge: 3 murders, 15 lab stations, 15 suspects, 3 killers. The entire case is guided by videos featuring cast members, alongside real-life forensic scientists. You’ll be the latest recruit to the world of forensic science, examine bullet casings, match DNA to potential suspects and identify the source of a single strand of hair as you complete the investigation process. If you are lucky enough to find the killer you will receive an official CSI: Diploma!

El Segundo Sol Cooking Fiesta!
Go behind-the-scenes at one of the city’s hottest restaurants, El Segundo Sol, where you will get the inside scoop on how to cook legit Mexican food such as guacamole, chicken enchiladas and tres leches cakes ~ oooh la la! This “Cooking Fiesta” class is designed to help add some pizzazz to your next at-home fete. Chef Terry Lynch provides a simple how-to for some of El Segundo Sol’s signature menu items. As a parting gift, receive a recipe pamphlet featuring their hot new recipes to recreate at home.

Adrenaline Rush Tour
Las Vegas is a city known for its variety of heart stopping, breathtaking roller coasters and exhilarating attractions. Have a chance, if you dare, to experience three of the best adrenaline-inducing experiences in the city. First, you are transferred to the big daddy of them all, the Stratosphere Tower. Experience one of the rides which include the Insanity, Big Shot or the X-Scream. Next, venture to downtown to zipline at the Fremont Street Flightlinez! Here, once harnessed, you will leap from a platform 67 feet high and glide down 800 feet of cable on one of four lines, reaching speeds of up to 30 mph flying underneath the $70 million video screen! Last, but certainly not least, is the Manhattan Express at the New York, New York Hotel. The coaster cars are yellow taxicabs and guests are turned upside down and inside out throughout the hotel. What a rush!

Red Rock Off-Road Experience
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, only minutes from the Strip, has scenery so dramatic it’s often selected as the backdrop for movies and commercials. Along the 13-mile scenic drive, you’ll view the impressive Wilson Cliffs, part of the 65-million-year-old Keystone Thrust from your tour trekker vehicle. Numerous geological features abound, including the fossilized sand dunes of the brilliantly colored Calico Hills. A brief stop at the visitor center includes fascinating exhibits that provide insight to the native flora and fauna, a desert tortoise habitat and gift shop. A bonus to this tour is the off-road adventure up Rocky Gap road.
